Cahuita National Park Hike & Waterfall Hike

We will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Cahuita national park; it is located about 20 minutes from Puerto Viejo. The tour will start at the Kelly Creek ranger station, this is the entrance closest to Cahuita town. From here our professional naturalist tour guide will use his sharp senses to spot animals. You will meet some new friends along the road such as white-faced monkeys, sloths, snakes, raccoons and numerous other different types of species that you will be able to observe and learn about. After about half way of the hike (around 2.5 km), we will return to the entrance of the National park. After the hiking in Cahuita, you will go to an amazing waterfall where you will be able to swim and take a light snack.

What to bring:  Hat, Comfortable Walking Shoes,  Sunscreen, Repellent, Water, swimsuit, towels and a bit of cash.

Jaguar Animal Rescue Center & Punta Uva Beach Hike

This trip combines two activities: a visit to the Jaguar Rescue Center and a visit to Punta Uva's sightseeing point.

The Jaguar Rescue Center rehabilitates mistreated, injured and/or confiscated animals, which are then reintroduced to their natural habitat in protected areas. There you can observe monkeys, wild cats, sloths, raccoons, anteaters, marsupials, reptiles, amphibians, etc.

What to Bring: Close Toed Shoes, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, repellent, sunscreen, Swimsuit, towels, camera, water and a bit of cash for beverages at Jaguar Rescue Center.

Chocolate Forest Experience & Coconut Beach Trail

Start the tour at 9:30 am by taking the transport with your guide to the Caribbeans Coffee shop and organic Chocolate Factory for the Chocolate Forest Experience tour. Our guide will teach you everything you need to know about cacao, chocolate history, tropical wildlife and of course chocolate making. The cacao is grown to make the chocolate right here among the trees. Search the world over, and you will not find a true tree to bar chocolate tour!

After the chocolate tour you will embark on foot to the Coconut Beach Trail, there you will see how the coral reef meets the water and the almond trees at the same time and enjoy an amazing spread of fruit and refreshing Agua de Pipa (Coconut water)! This is a walking/hiking tour which lasts 4 to 4.5 hours. Some physical exertion required, but the guest in average physical condition have no problems.

Saturday's Caribe Fun Full Day Tour!

Our guide will take you to the Local Farmers Market where you will have the chance to see, try and buy all the fresh & local products made it by the Local Farmers, you can get a steamy cup of coffee or fresh fruit to start the day the best way possible. We are going to spend like 30 min here, after this, we'll head to the Jaguar Rescue Center, one of the must-see places in town. The Jaguar Rescue Center is an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation ad reinsertion to nature of all kind of wild animals that have been injured or are in harm, a truly laudable endeavor!

After the 1.5 hrs tour in the Jaguar Rescue Center, we are going to move on to the Cahuita National Park to have a break at the beach enjoying some fresh fruit or a coconut by the entrance of the park and then continues with a beautiful hike that goes along the beach and also through the rainforest jungle for 1.5 hrs where we are going to have the chance to see the animals in their natural habits while we enjoy the nice ocean breeze and sounds of nature.

RARG Reserve Caribbean Rain Forest - Night Tour

You will go on a two and a half hour hike through primary rainforest private reserve. On the hike, you use special observation techniques in order to see the nocturnal animals. There is the possibility of seeing many different types of amphibians, reptiles, night birds and mammals. This adventure will open our eyes to the beauty that is hidden in the dark.
